In the thicket
of tall red oaks
set among
the human
five deer
walk silent
up the path,
fearless and
unhurried here,
their Eden.

    1. This was a sweet moment – we were walking in the woods right near my house and there they were. We stopped to look at them and they stopped to look at us and then we all sort of went about our business. : )
